Blues Status

Award Criteria

Men’s 
A maximum of 8 Half-Blues (4 men and 4 ladies) to be awarded each year at the captain’s discretion to individuals that compete at the Varsity Match and BUCS competitions. Additionally, an individual much score in the top 4 Oxford shots in their category (Men’s or Ladies) at the Varsity match regardless of squadding. 
Up to 6 (3 men and 3 ladies) can be awarded a Discretionary Full Blue if an individual: 
	1. Meets the requirements for a Half Blue; and 
	2. Is on the Men’s or Women’s Varsity A Squad; and 
	3. Positions in the top 10 or 5% (whichever is more constrictive) of competitors in the BUCS Clay Pigeon Shooting Championship in their respective category; and 
	4. Is a committed participant of the sport both at University level and beyond.

Recommended criteria for the Captain’s discretion: 
	1. Competes in at least 4 inter-University competitions; and 
	2. Competes for their county in a recognised CPSA discipline; and 
	3. Competes at a nationally competition such as the English Open, the Pro One, the Beretta World Sports Championship or equivalent.

Women’s 
A maximum of 8 Half-Blues (4 men and 4 ladies) to be awarded each year at the captain’s discretion to individuals that compete at the Varsity Match and BUCS competitions. Additionally, an individual much score in the top 4 Oxford shots in their category (Men’s or Ladies) at the Varsity match regardless of squadding.
